DYCD Building Bridges Webinar

We partnered with NYC’s Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) to create the Building Bridges Webinar, a practical training tool designed to help the thousands of community-based organizations that contract with DYCD better understand the contracting process from beginning to end.

The webinar was developed as one full-length instructional video and then broken into 12 shorter segments, making the content easier to navigate, understand, and revisit. The series walks organizations through the procurement process step by step, including how to use PASSPort, when to seek support from the Mayor’s Office of Contract Services, and how to complete the necessary contracting requirements.

By producing the webinar as a pre-recorded video series, DYCD reduced the burden of repeatedly hosting or producing live training sessions. Instead, staff can share or play the recorded content as needed, while CBOs can access the videos online at any time and review specific sections whenever they need guidance.

Our role included organizing DYCD’s source content, shaping the script, and producing a clear, accessible video series that simplified a complex process for a broad audience of nonprofit and community-based providers. The final product gave DYCD a more user-friendly, on-demand training resource that organizations could watch in full or by topic as they moved through the contracting process.
